Uncle Liang stood in the corridor, his face darker than the night.

Behind him were two clan elders and several servants carrying lanterns. The light of the fire was blown by the wind, making people's faces flicker in and out.Mrs. Liang stood in the room, the concoction spilled all over the floor, and her fingers were still trembling.

Shen Qingluo held the blood-stained pattern and did not speak in a hurry.

Uncle Liang laughed first.

"Miss Shen is very capable."

It's a boast, but it doesn't feel like a boast. There's fire underneath every word.

"My Liang family paid you to help quell the ghost problem. It would be better for you to go to the inner house and force my sister-in-law to say these crazy things. Why, the tombkeeper Xuansi is still in charge of other people's houses now?"

Liang's face turned pale.

She subconsciously stepped back, like she had done many times before, back into the circle that Uncle Liang had drawn for her.

Shen Qingluo glanced at her but didn't help her.

There is no point in supporting him. This person has to learn to stand on his own.

Xie Wujiu stood by the door and lazily raised his eyelids. The servants in the corridor were about to move forward, but they all stopped when they caught his sight.

Uncle Liang also noticed him.

"This young master is quite unfamiliar."

Shen Qingluo said smoothly: "Temporary assistant."

Xie Wujiu looked at her.

Shen Qingluo didn't look at him.

She is too busy now to coax someone who refuses to admit that he is a buddy.

Uncle Liang sneered: "The guy hired by Miss Shen doesn't look like an ordinary person."

"Ordinary clerks are expensive." Shen Qingluo said, "This is temporarily on credit."

Ah Qing almost laughed out loud at the soul-inducing bell.

Xie Wujiu's face turned even colder.

Uncle Liang had no intention of talking nonsense with her.

He wasn't completely unafraid either.

Shen Qingluo could tell.Every time he looked at the side room, his eyes would pause briefly. It's not about worrying about the dead, it's about worrying about leaving things on the dead that shouldn't be left behind.

It was really the ghost of her deceased brother who was harming others. He should have urged her to go to the grave to disperse the ghosts. There was no reason to rush her away from the corpse.

The more urgent it is, the more evil it is.

Shen Qingluo knew what she was thinking, but she didn't show it on her face.

He was too lazy to go around her anymore and raised his hand to point at Mrs. Liang.

"Sister-in-law is weak and cannot be frightened. If Miss Shen scares her again with ghost stories, the Liang family will not be polite."

Shen Qingluo folded the yellow paper and stuffed it back into the cloth bag.

"Second Master Liang came just in time."

She took a step forward.

"There was a disturbance in the ancestral grave, the young man died violently, and the soul of Uncle Liang is suspected to be an evil ghost. Now, in front of the clan elders, we will conduct an autopsy first."

Uncle Liang's eyelids twitched.

"Autopsy? Ah Fu died in front of the grave with his eyes open like that. If he wasn't frightened to death by a ghost, what else could it be?"

Shen Qingluo looked at him.

"Who told you it was an evil spirit?"

The corridor is quiet.

This sentence is not serious, but it is like a needle piercing the place where Second Uncle Liang is most anxious to cover up.

In the side room, the body of Ah Fu, the boy, was still lying on the wooden board.
