The customers in the store raised their heads and looked out the window.

"What's going on? What's going on outside?"

"I don't know. It sounds like someone is fighting?"

"A fight? What kind of fight is this at noon?"

Lin Guoqiang paused for a moment, and the shovel in his hand stopped in mid-air.

He listened carefully and frowned slightly.

That sound wasn't right.

It's not a fight, that's not what a fight sounds like.

There was something in those screams, fear.

It's the kind of uncontrollable fear that comes after seeing something scary.

"Zhijun, go out and take a look." He shouted.

Zhao Zhijun put down the bowl in his hand, wiped his hands on his apron, ran to the door, stuck his head out and took a look at the street.

Just one glance.

His face turned pale, as if his blood had been drained.

His head retracted with a "swish", and his whole body seemed to be burned. He took several steps back, and his back hit the door frame with a muffled "thunk" sound.

"Third, third brother-in-law..." His voice was trembling, "There is a crazy woman outside with a knife, and she will kill everyone she sees!"

All the customers in the store stood up and their chairs creaked.

Some people rushed to the door and looked out, some shrank into the corner, and some people slapped their money on the table and rushed out.

"Don't go out!" Lin Guoqiang roared, and everyone stopped.

He put down the shovel, turned off the fire, and stepped out from behind the stove.

His movements were not fast, but every step was steady, not as hasty as others.

"Zhijun, pull down the rolling shutter door."

Zhao Zhijun stretched out his hand to reach for the pull cord of the rolling shutter door. His hands were shaking so much that he had to grab it several times before he could catch it.

"Wait." Lin Guoqiang suddenly held his hand.

Zhao Zhijun was stunned: "Third brother-in-law?"

Lin Guoqiang stood at the door and looked out through the crack in the door.

The streets have become a mess.

People fled in all directions. The old lady selling vegetables dropped her vegetable basket, the bicycle pusher dropped his car, and a child fell to the ground. An adult picked him up and put him under his arm and continued running.

There were cabbage sticks, broken eggs, overturned bamboo baskets, tilted bicycles, and a cotton shoe that ran away from someone unknown, lying alone in the middle of the road.

Across the street, a middle-aged woman was wielding a kitchen knife and chasing a man to chop.

The woman was in her forties, wearing a dusty cotton-padded jacket, and her hair was as messy as a pile of withered grass.

There was no expression on her face, her eyes were straight, her pupils were dilated, her mouth was half-open, and drool was dripping from the corners of her mouth.
