There was only one floor-to-ceiling warm light left in the living room.Shen Man was nestled in the large leather sofa, wearing Lin Chuan's large black shirt, with the hem barely covering his thighs.She was holding a small bowl of cut fruit in her hand and was watching a variety show on TV, occasionally being amused so much that the corners of her mouth raised.

Lin Chuan came out of the shower, smelling faintly of shower gel, and sat down next to her.

Shen Man leaned into his arms naturally, pierced a piece of apple with a toothpick and handed it to his mouth.

Lin Chuan bit off the apple, put his arms around her waist, and unconsciously rubbed his fingers on her smooth legs twice.

"In two days, I'm going to Shanghai."

Shen Man stopped chewing.She turned her head and looked at Lin Chuan's side face. The lazy smile in her eyes faded little by little, replaced by an obvious look of loss.

"How long will it take?" she asked, her voice an octave lower than before.

"I can't say for sure." Lin Chuan took a tissue and wiped his hands. "If it's fast, it will take ten days and a half. If it's slow, I may have to stay there for a while."

Shen Man said nothing.She put the fruit bowl in her hand on the coffee table, lowered her head, and dug her fingers into the gaps on the edge of the sofa.

She didn't want to make a fuss.She saw very clearly in this relationship that Lin Chuan was not the kind of man who could be chained in the kitchen with women's tears and coquettishness.His world was so big that she sometimes felt flustered.

Lin Chuan smiled.He reached out and pinched her chin, lifting her face up.

"What, are you afraid that I'll run away over there?"

She took a deep breath, stood up from the sofa, stepped on the thick carpet with her bare feet, turned and walked to the cloakroom.

"Why go?"

"Pack your things." Shen Man's voice came out from the cloakroom, with a nasal sound, "You are a person who is very particular about clothes, but you never remember to bring them yourself. It's hot in Shanghai now, but the air conditioning in the office building is cold, so you have to bring two thin coats. And the razor you are used to, you must not be used to it in the hotel."

Lin Chuan leaned on the sofa and looked at the tall figure busy in the cloakroom.

Shen Man, a woman, is smart because of her sense of proportion.She knows when to be clingy and when to let go.

After zipping up, she walked back to Lin Chuan, straddled his lap, and put her arms around his neck.
