Xu Mo wiped it on, and the fishy smell made him frown.

Before he could take a breath.

The second batch of gargoyles came like a tide, completely blocking the sunlight above them.

In the center of the group of monsters, a huge monster nearly three meters in length crashed to the ground, causing the ground to tremble. The whole body was covered with blue rock armor with a metallic luster, and those eyes locked on Xu Mo violently.

The leader of the gargoyles.

"Run! Don't look back!" Xu Mo roared, grabbing Fang Yun's wrist and running wildly deeper into the stone forest.

There was a loud sound of shattering rocks behind him, and the leader's broad bone wings suddenly flapped. His hill-like body instantly spanned a distance of more than ten meters, and his sharp claws plowed two deep grooves on the ground.

Ordinary gargoyles would slow down after chasing for a while, but the leader had endless energy and wouldn't let go.

Xu Mo walked through a dense forest of stone pillars. The leader was so big that he got stuck on two stone pillars and let out an angry roar.

This was a momentary opportunity. Xu Mo pulled Fang Yun into a rock crevice only one person wide, bent over and ran for nearly a hundred meters before emerging from the other end.

The sound of flapping wings behind me finally faded away.

The two of them collapsed on the ground, gasping for air.

Fang Yun's legs were trembling, and Xu Mo was not much better. There were old wounds on the tiger's mouth that had been cracked before, and blood was oozing out at the moment.

Fang Yun gasped.

"This thing is simply not something we can touch now."

Xu Mo didn't say anything, just raised his head and glanced at the sky.

The sun was already starting to set in the west, and it would be dark in a few hours.

He stood up and pulled Fang Yun up: "Go back to the camp, go back first."

The journey back was surprisingly quiet. Neither of them spoke. They were walking in a hurry, just wanting to get back to the camp before dark.

Just when the two of them were about to step out of the stone forest, the soil under Xu Mo's feet let out a dull scream without warning.

The sound sounded like something was breaking underground, and then, the ground beneath my feet began to sink.

The collapse occurs in the blink of an eye.

"Get out of the way!" Xu Mo pushed Fang Yun on the shoulder.

The feeling of weightlessness came over me instantly.

Xu Mo didn't even have a chance to stabilize his body, and fell straight into the bottomless crack in the ground.

No broken bones or tendons as imagined.

The feeling underneath him was extremely strange.

Thick, warm, and even disgustingly fleshy.

Xu Mo held his breath and quickly turned over and jumped up. What he saw was darkness, with only a glimmer of light coming from the gap above his head.
