There was heavy snow in the sky, and A Chou stood at the entrance of the village, waiting for his brother to come home for the New Year.

After waiting for a long time, there was no sign of his brother. He was almost frozen into an ice sculpture in his thin clothes.

But he didn't dare to go home, otherwise he would inevitably be scolded by his parents during the New Year.

The reason why A Chou is called A Chou is because the dark half of his cheek seems to be coated with a layer of black ink, which looks very uncomfortable.

Precisely because of this face, he was often regarded as a monster, either feared or ridiculed, and even his parents disliked him very much.

The outline of a carriage appeared in the wind and snow. A Chou cheered up and hurried to meet it.

A handsome young man emerged from the carriage.

He looked at A Chou with deep disgust on his face: "What are you doing here?"

The light in A Chou's eyes dimmed quickly, "Mother asked me to come here to pick you up."

"Dad, who is it?"

A little girl wrapped in a brand new cotton-padded jacket poked her head out of the carriage.

But when he saw A Chou's appearance, he screamed in fear and shrank back, and then a woman's comforting voice sounded in the carriage.

"Sorry for scaring your kid."

A Chou buried his head and said to his brother Han Qing in shame.

His younger brother Han Qing is only one year younger than him, but he has already joined a wealthy businessman in the town and is living a prosperous life.

Many people in the village said that Han Qing had no future because he was eating soft rice. In fact, he was sour. I don’t know how many people hoped that he was the one eating soft rice.

But this has nothing to do with A Chou. No matter how well his brother lives, he never thinks of helping him, but instead becomes more and more alienated from him.

Upon hearing A Chou's apology, his younger brother Han Qing just looked at him coldly and urged the driver to continue driving towards the village.

A Chou stood alone in the wind and snow, looking at the gradually disappearing outline of the carriage, with a self-deprecating and bitter smile in his heart.

He shook his head and prepared to go home.

But we have only walked a few steps,

A Chou's eyes were attracted by something.

The carriage drove through the snow, leaving two deep ruts. In one of the ruts, a faint silver light flashed.

A Chou walked up curiously, dug out a bead from the black soil, and looked at it carefully in his hand.

I saw that this bead was as big as a walnut, and it was silver-gray in color, as if it was made of melted silver.

The surface is covered with lines like the roots of old trees, and there is also a deeper vertical line, like a closed eye slit.

At first A Chou thought that this thing was carved from silver and might fetch a good price.

But when I think about it carefully, something is wrong. Although this bead is not big, it is very heavy. It weighs at least four or five kilograms in my hand.
