Lin Ye dialed the number in the registration column.

There was a series of empty sounds in the receiver of the landline phone.

Nurse Zhao stood nearby, her eyes still focused on the empty return time of the fourth bed.

"Did it ring?"

"It rang, no one answered."

Lin Ye did not hang up immediately.

The pair of reading glasses on the bedside of the fourth bed was still beside the pillow, with the temples pressed against a corner of the quilt. There was a folded payment slip pressed next to the water glass, and the corners were a little wet with water.

There was only one slipper left by the bed.

The phone rang until it automatically disconnected.

Nurse Zhao folded back the shift notebook.

"Hit it again."

Lin Ye dialed it again and already opened the handover book with his other hand.

Four beds, Song Guangfu, 68 years old.

Chest tightness awaits investigation.

Two electrocardiograms showed no obvious acute changes.

Day shift troponin was normal.

Note for the day shift: There will be a follow-up visit at the outpatient clinic tomorrow morning, and we will stay for observation at night.

In the family column, I only wrote my mobile phone number, followed by a family landline number, which was circled by the day shift nurse with a ballpoint pen.

Lin Ye looked at the numbers and remembered what the old man had asked him when he took off his reading glasses in the evening.

"Can I leave tomorrow morning?"

His wife has bad legs and is home alone.

No one answered the second call.

Nurse Zhao turned around and shouted: "Triage table, look at the door for me. There are four elderly people with chest tightness in bed. They said they went out to make a call, but they didn't come back."

The nurse on the other side of the triage table responded and the chair moved back.

Sun Zhiqiang stood up from the computer.

"Don't run away. Sister Zhao, go to the door. Lin Ye will follow. The nurse on duty will stay in the observation area. No one will be watching the third bed and the first bed."

"I know."

Nurse Zhao picked up the intercom and pressed it as she walked.

"Security guard, please look after someone at the emergency door. Male, over 60 years old, gray coat, maybe only wearing one slipper. He has chest tightness and is under observation."

First there was the sound of electricity on the intercom.

The voice of the security guard at the door came.

"There was an old man who went out just now to take a breath. I saw that he was sitting on the bench over there."

Nurse Zhao paused.

"Which chair?"

"Outside the emergency department, in the row next to the vending machines. I'll go over and take a look now."

Lin Ye followed her outside.

The lights in the emergency room were bright and dazzling. When the wind blew at the door, the smell of disinfectant mixed with the humid heat from outside rushed in.In front of the triage table, a woman holding a child gave way. The child was sleepy and clutching the biscuit in her hand tightly.

The edge of Linye's vision suddenly jumped.

The light blue frame quietly emerged.

[Unclosed-loop risk tracking: observe four beds.】

[High risk: acute coronary syndrome.】

[Point of misjudgment: The day shift ECG and first troponin are normal, which does not mean it is safe tonight.】

[Key questions: sweating, shortness of breath, worsening chest pain, nitroglycerin, aspirin.】

Lin Ye cursed in his heart.

I didn't jump for a long time, but I just jumped when the person was gone.

He didn't stop or look back to explain.Nurse Zhao only saw that his steps suddenly became faster.

The security guard had already run over from the guard box, still holding the half-eaten bun in his hand.

"People are there!"

There is a row of plastic benches outside the emergency department next to the vending machines.

Song Guangfu was sitting at the farthest side, half of his body tilted, his back pressed against the wall, his phone dropped to his knees, and the screen was still on.
