There was an oil lamp burning in the room, and the light was very dim.

Lying on the bed against the wall was an old man, with a lean body and white hair. The wrinkles on his face seemed to be carved by a knife. His eyes were closed and his breathing was weak.

Lin Jue walked to the bed and carefully looked at the face of the old village leader.

After traveling through time for so long, this was the first time he saw his titular father-in-law in person.

The old village leader did not look very good, his face was pale, his eye sockets were sunken, and his lips were chapped.

But Lin Jue observed carefully for a while and found that although his skin color was poor, it did not look like he was terminally ill.

Although his breathing was weak, it was fairly steady, and the rhythm of his chest rising and falling did not resemble that of a seriously ill person.

Strange...

Lin Jue scratched his head, while Su Yue stood beside him, her tone a little expectant, "What did you see?"

"I can't tell."

After all, Lin Jue is not a doctor. The first aid knowledge he learned in his previous life was limited to battlefield trauma and basic pharmacology.

I really have no clue about this unexplained coma.

"It seems that just buying medicine is not enough. We must find a way to hire a skilled doctor for diagnosis and treatment."

"The war is in chaos, where can we find a doctor?" Su Yue lowered her head, and the expectation in her eyes slowly dimmed.

After leaving the house, the night wind blew in my face.

Su Yue walked in front, her pace slowed down, and there was a layer of suppressed worry in her tone.

"There are so many things going on in the cottage. Without my father to take charge of the overall situation, I don't know what it would be like."

Lin Jue looked at her side face that looked particularly cold in the moonlight, smiled and said, "I will help you."

"You?"

Su Yue turned her head and glanced at him, then looked away, her tone returned to her usual cold tone,

"You have offended the Second Village Master, so you should try to keep a low profile these days."

"I also want to keep a low profile." Lin Jue touched her nose.

But many times, it is things that push people away.

He coughed and turned the topic back to business, "Actually, I have one more thing to do here this time."

"What's the matter?"

"I plan to improve a batch of ordnance, but Blacksmith Zheng can't get enough pig iron."

Lin Jue briefly explained the situation at the blacksmith shop during the day, "So I want to go down the mountain to get a batch of iron."

Su Yue frowned, "It's not the right time to go down the mountain now."

Just one day after Ma Kui's incident, the people of the second village master were still watching covetously outside.

Lin Jue is going down the mountain now, whether he can come back or not is a matter of doubt.

"No, I can't wait. These weapons are too important."

Lin Jue's tone did not waver, "With them, I can build a real army that can fight a hundred battles and prepare to deal with the Ule people in the future."

Su Yue stopped and turned around to look at him.
