“Over the bridge—what is that?!”

The bespectacled man's throat was about to crack, and the frequency with which his vocal cords were squeezed out could scratch the glass.

Lin Hao had no time to pay attention to him.

The red countdown on the panel is jumping——[07:42].

He glanced inside the bus.

The figures that can be seen through the window include some standing, some squatting, and some slumped on the seats.

The system automatically marked the humanoid outline, blue, living person.

Not more than thirty.

It's five.

What about the man with “more than thirty people” on the intercom?Lin Hao had no time to think.

Five living people, eight minutes, a wave of two hundred zombies.

That's enough, let's work first.

He opened the car door and jumped out. The sharp pain in his left rib almost pushed him back into his seat.

The hunting crossbow is held in the right hand, the riot control fork is carried on the left shoulder, and the gun is tucked behind the waist.

Three meters away from the window on the left side of the bus, a zombie was moving this way. It was wearing a fluorescent vest of a highway maintenance worker, with half of its face missing.

The crossbow arrow pierced its eye socket and it fell to the ground instantly.

"People on the bus, listen," Lin Hao shouted from the bus window...!

"You have two minutes to get out of the car and get into my RV. Two minutes. No waiting."

Outside the car window, the young woman was still crying.

The bespectacled man's hands were shaking so much that he couldn't hold the window frame, and behind him came the child's shrill wails, intermittent and breathless.

No one moved.

"Can't you understand people?" Lin Hao pointed to the other end of the bridge, "Two hundred zombies.

There are only eight minutes left. Do you all want to die here?"

The emergency door of the bus was kicked open from the inside with a bang.

Jump down alone.

The man is in his forties, with a short head, a black jacket, and two arms that are abnormally thick.

He was holding a stainless steel curtain rod in his hand, with a fruit knife tied to the top and wrapped with tape more than ten times to make a homemade spear.

It is tied very professionally, with the blade facing forward and the center of gravity controlled on the front third of the pole.

The man didn't stop as soon as his feet hit the ground. He rushed to the nearest zombie in three steps and stabbed out with his spear. He didn't just stab it randomly, he stabbed it straight into the throat, picked it up and nailed it directly.

The zombie took two steps back. He twisted the pole and twisted the fruit knife in his cervical spine.

The zombies softened.

Done in one go, no unnecessary movements, not a trace of hesitation.

Those who have practiced, those who have practiced hard.

Lin Hao threw the anti-riot fork over.

"Go on."

The board-cun man caught it with one hand and weighed it, with the curtain rod spear in his left hand and the riot-proof fork in his right hand.

I tried the angle of the fork, and skewered it on the neck of a zombie crawling under the car next to me.

"Click."

The sound of cervical spine cracking.

Clean and crisp.

With their backs against the bus body, the two of them used a crossbow and a fork to clear out the four nearby zombies in fifteen seconds.

There are more than a dozen of them gathering in the distance on the bridge, but they are still some distance away.

"People in the car, get off now!" Lin Hao shouted at the bus.

The young woman who came down first was in her late twenties, with messy hair, and a little girl of about three years old in her arms.

The child cried silently, his face buried in her neck, and his little hands clutching her collar.

The woman staggered when she jumped down from the emergency door, and the tall man held her arm.

"Go to that RV, and don't get out once you get up." The tall man spoke softly, but his words were steady.

The woman nodded and ran to the RV with the child in her arms.

The second person to come out was a pair of young men. The man was thin and wore black-rimmed glasses. He was holding a girl on his arm.The girl's left foot was wrapped in a layer of cloth and she walked with a limp.

"She sprained her foot," the boy just said.

"Let's go first, and then we'll talk about it after we get in the car," Lin Hao didn't look at him.

He aimed the crossbow at another approaching zombie in the distance and pulled the trigger.

The arrow penetrated the forehead bone, and the zombie fell to the ground instantly, twitched a few times on the ground, and then stopped moving.

There are nine crossbow arrows left.

The last one, the middle-aged man wearing glasses, squeezed out from the emergency door.

Two hands, a suitcase in each hand.

Aluminum alloy suitcases, large ones, weighing at least thirty kilograms each.

He squeezed in the emergency door and was stuck for two seconds. The box was too wide to fit through.

"What the hell are you doing?" Lin Hao turned his head.

"My things! They must be taken away!" The middle-aged man dragged the box out with all his might, his face flushed red and veins sprouting from his neck.

The tall man walked over.

Without saying anything, he raised his foot and kicked the box on the left.

The box slipped out of the man's hand and fell onto the bridge, the lock popping open.

The golden things were scattered all over the floor. They were gold bars!…

Small gold bricks jingled and rolled out on the bridge.

"Life or money?"

The flat-footed man said five words, but no second sentence.

The middle-aged man was stunned for a second, glanced at the gold bars on the ground, and then at the approaching black tide at the end of the bridge, and his lips trembled twice.

He hugged the remaining box tightly, jumped out of the car and ran away.
