It is ten miles from Shenjia Village to Qingchuan Town, and it takes more than an hour to take the official road.

She was fast on her feet and took a section of the path between the fields, saving her half an hour.

When we arrived in town, the market had just opened.

Qingchuan Town is not that big, with a main street running from north to south, with shops and stalls on both sides.

There are many people on market day. Vegetable sellers, cloth sellers, and pottery pot sellers are crowded together, and shouts come and go.

Shen Luxi was not in a hurry to find a place to set up a stall. He first walked along the main street and scanned the shops on both sides.

There are two drugstores. One is on the street. The signboard reads "Renhetang". It has a large appearance and looks impressive.

The other one is at the end of the street and on the corner. It has an old sign and reads "Jimin Drug Store". It has a small storefront and the shopkeeper is a thin man in his forties, sitting behind the counter with an abacus.

There is a tea shop in the middle of the street. There are several tea jars at the door, and the waiters are filling them with water.

There are two restaurants, the big one is called "Fumanlou", and the smaller one has no signboard and has a stove set up at the door to fry pancakes.

Shen Luxi kept all this in mind, turned around and went to Jimin Pharmacy at the end of the street.

Big shops have many rules, very low prices, and they like to find faults.

The shop is easy to talk to. The shopkeeper collects the goods and sells them himself. The profit is thin, so the price given is more reasonable.

These skills were learned while escaping from previous lives.

At that time, she had run errands for people and delivered goods to the drug store, so she knew the twists and turns inside.

Pushing open the door and walking in, the drug store is filled with the smell of herbal medicine. There are several rows of medicine drawers on the counter with densely written labels.

The shopkeeper looked up at her and paused on the bamboo basket: "Little girl, are you buying medicine?"

"Don't buy medicine, sell medicine." Shen Luxi put the bamboo basket on the counter, took out the herbs one by one and arranged them, "Shopkeeper, take a look at these."

The shopkeeper put down his abacus and came over to take a look.

First he picked up the honeysuckle, turned it over, put it under his nose and smelled it, nodded, then picked up the bupleurum, pinched the rhizome, and raised his brows slightly.

"This Bupleurum is good. The rhizome is thick and clean in the sun. Did you pick it yourself?"

"I pick it from the mountains and dry it myself."

The shopkeeper looked at the Scutellaria baicalensis again, put it down, and tapped his fingers twice on the counter: "I'll take the honeysuckle, eight cents and one tael. The Bupleurum is of good quality, I'll give you twelve cents and one tael. The Scutellaria baicalensis is a little worse, six cents."

Shen Luxi did not agree immediately.

She did the math in her head.

She picked about three taels of honeysuckle, more than two taels of bupleurum, and one and a half scutellaria baicalensis.

At this price, the total is less than seventy cents.

"Shopkeeper, I've inquired about the market price of Bupleurum. Renhetang in town charges fifteen cents per tael. Is the twelve cents you're offering here a bit low?"

She didn't ask.

In the memory of her previous life, the price of Bupleurum in Qingchuan Town had always fluctuated between thirteen and fifteen cents. She remembered this price clearly.
